Mission Statement
Cedan Dance Company is a New York based professional contemporary dance company founded in 2014 and under the artistic direction of Cécilia Daninthe. CDC represents a group of dancers with multi-cultural backgrounds who seek to shed light on issues within the world, and explore human behavior through the Art of Dance.
The choreographic language and body movement is a blend of Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Gwo'Ka and other traditional Caribbean dances, which creates a unique repertory that has been performed in USA and Europe.
Cedan Dance Company strives to advance the knowledge and appreciation of dance in the community and worldwide through performances, instruction, and outreach programs: to provide the highest quality educational opportunities possible in all aspects of dance to anyone desiring such education; to be viewed as a community and a leader in preparing vocational students for a professional career in dance.
Cedan Dance Company is available for local and long distance touring, for festivals, fundraisers and corporate events.
